FOUNDER'S STORY

Founder’s Story By Maggie Midjine Louis Founder, Queens of Elegance International 1 INC

I was born in Haiti — a place of beauty, but also a place where too many women suffer in silence. I left my home not for opportunity, but for survival. I escaped an abusive relationship with nothing but hope in my heart and the will to create a better life for myself and my daughters.

Coming to the United States wasn’t easy. I arrived with wounds—emotional, spiritual, and unseen—but I also carried love, strength, and the quiet belief that pain could be transformed into purpose. I raised three daughters on my own, through struggle and sacrifice, sorrow and healing. Today, my first daughter holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Florida State University. My second daughter earned her degree in communications and journalism from the University of Florida. My youngest is still growing — but already, she’s a light in this world.

This organization was born from my pain — and from the pain I saw mirrored in the eyes of other women. I saw so many still suffering, still alone, still feeling invisible — even in relationships, even in crowded rooms. I knew I had to create a space where women could be seen, held, and healed.

Queens of Elegance International 1 INC is that space. It is a sanctuary for women who are walking through their own ashes — and ready to rise. This is more than an organization. It is a movement. A circle of healing. A place where we fix each other’s crowns, remind each other of our worth, and walk each other home.

If you’re reading this, know that your story matters. Your healing matters. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Queens of Elegance International is more than an organization, It is a movement.
